It’s what you’ve all been waiting for, The UMass Ski ‘n’ Board Club is proud to announce the Third Annual UMass Rail Jam! Formerly known as the Metawompe Stompe, this season’s event will be held on Southwest Beach on January 25th 2013 marking the first weekend back second semester. This is set to be a huge event with 75 competitors duking it out for the top prize, and tons of goodies from our event partners! This year we are partnering with Okemo Mountain resort to host our rails for the event. Okemo is set to provide a killer spread for us, and there will be hot tracks and music all night to keep the party going! Nope Snowboards, started by a couple of our very finest UMass alums, will be donating snowboards and a butt ton of swag for our winners!
Sidelining the event will be partners within the ski and snowboard industry with tons of swag to melt even the coldest hearts with hot cocoa and food available thanks to Baby Berk! Skiing and Riding, Music, Food, Giveaways, what’s not to love about this event?!
For Competitors: Registration will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE the day of the event. Registration begins at 2pm and is $20 ages 18+ ONLY. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY. Waiver forms will be available at the event or available for download through our website. If you download a waiver form, do not sign it until the event. You need an event representative to be a witness to you signing, otherwise you'll have to fill out a new form! Practice will begin at 4pm, with competition heats beginning at 5pm.
